Surely everyone remembers comedy spy films regarding Austin Powers – International Man of Mystery (1997), The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999) and Goldmember (2002).

The protagonist of these parodies of spy thrillers (as well as the main villain of Doctor Evil) was played by the famous comedian Mike Myers. And following twenty years, he is ready to return to his star role to make a fourth film.

“I would like to make one. Yes, yes, yes, — said the 58-year-old actor in the Today show on the channel NBC. – Let’s see. I can neither confirm nor deny the existence or absence of such a project, whether it exists or not.”

This year, Myers starred as Dr. Evil in a Super Bowl commercial for General Motors, following which there were rumors that the comedian might make another film regarding the super spy and conqueror of ladies’ hearts. And given how much Hollywood loves to revive old franchises today, Austin Powers has every chance of returning to the big screen.

In the same interview, the actor admitted that he had a lot of fun doing commercials in his old image. And added that his children have not yet watched their father’s spy comedies – they have not yet grown up to the age rating.

Recall that Mike Myers also starred in the films Sex Guru (2008), Inglourious Basterds (2009) and Bohemian Rhapsody (2018). He is also the original voice of Shrek in all the cartoons in the franchise.
