Presidential: Senator RN Stéphane Ravier rallies Eric Zemmour

New defection to the RN, and new rallying for Reconquest! The senator of Bouches-du-Rhône Stéphane Ravier announced, this Sunday morning on the set of the “Grand Rendez-vous” d’Europe 1/CNews/Les Échos, that he supported Éric Zemmour in his presidential race, following several days of tension within Marine Le Pen’s movement.

At the origin of this disagreement, the decision of the municipal councilor and regional councilor RN Sophie Grech to sponsor the polemicist for the presidential election, great rival of the official candidate of his political family. In the process, Marine Le Pen therefore announced her exclusion from the party. While, for his part, Stéphane Ravier believed that “all Marseille patriots have their place” in the RN group of the Marseille city council, of which he is the president.

Zemmour, the “true unifier”

This Sunday, Stéphane Ravier let it be known at the microphone of the “Grand Rendez-vous”, that he considered that Éric Zemmour was “the real unifier” unlike Marine Le Pen. In addition to his support for the far-right polemicist, whom he will “join in this campaign”, the senator announced that he was leaving the National Rally.

He will still give one last gesture to Marine Le Pen. “I had made it known that she would get my sponsorship and she will have it,” he promised, even if he believes that she “says everything and its opposite”. It is a “balance of all political accounts”, concluded the elected official.

He is far from the first in the RN to turn his back on Marine Le Pen to prefer Éric Zemmour. Gilbert Collard, Christophe Boudot (regional councilor of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) or William Bertrand (municipal councilor in Eure) have notably announced their departure in recent weeks. But the most difficult blow to take, according to the RN candidate, is that of her niece, Marion Maréchal. At the end of January, she confided to the Parisian that she was still hesitating between joining the polemicist or staying completely away from the presidential campaign. Thus announcing, in fact, that she would not support her aunt.
