But the GIF “Super Illusion Brothers” is an optical illusion.
The characters don’t move. Lines illustrate the effect here.
The illusion is created solely by changing colors.
In the close-up you can clearly see that there is some kind of shadow around the figures and the stairs.
Both the color of the figure and the colors of the edges and some of the surrounding points change in the order of the color wheel, or rainbow. This change creates the illusion of movement, although the elements of the picture do not move the slightest bit .
