The Ministry of Health has revealed how to measure blood pressure correctly and things to avoid before and during the measurement.
She stressed the need to avoid smoking, food and drinks that contain caffeine; Such as coffee and tea 30 minutes before the measurement, and sitting properly, calmly and comfortably during and before the measurement for 5 minutes.
She noted the necessity of placing the bracelet directly on the skin and not on the clothes, taking the measurement more than once and recording it in a notebook, and not placing a leg on a leg when sitting during the measurement.
She also advised not to measure the pressure immediately following waking up, to make sure that the arm is in the correct position and to measure the pressure twice a day, while avoiding talking during the measurement and checking the accuracy of the device.
