Dead Island 2 could actually have its release at the end of 2022

Dead Island 2 has been in development for 8 years and went through “several development studios”. You didn’t believe in it anymore? According to the insider Tom Henderson the game should be close to release.

Dambuster Studios has current Dead Island 2 in development, a game announced in 2014. In a recent YouTube video, Henderson (via VGC) that he spoke to people close to the development of the game.

“According to everyone I spoke to… the game is in decent shape and it might be announced with some kind of gameplay trailer pretty soon,” he said.

“A release date is expected to be somewhere in the fourth quarter of 2022, possibly by next year if there are issues with the development cycle.”

What happens in Dead Island 2?

Henderson also provided insight into the game’s plot and beginning of the game.

“You’re on a plane and there’s a zombie outbreak on a plane… eventually the plane crashes in Hollywood, you survive, and then it’s your job to survive on the ground.”

The story was originally supposed to be regarding US forces quarantining California. So that should fit with Tom Henderson’s “insider knowledge”.

It will be exciting to see how three development teams do Dead Island 2 have affected. After all, Yager Development started the development, which was then taken over by Sumo Digital. 2019, so 3 years ago, Dambuster then took overan in-house studio of Deep Silver.

About 2 years ago one arrived leaked version of Dead Island 2 on the Internet, which allegedly came from 2015. The zombie adventure is said to no longer appear for PS4 and Xbox One.

Even if the rumors surrounding the game aren’t true, one of the best video game trailers remains.

Dead Island 2 should be in development.
