Hello Anna,
The certificate of recovery from Covid-19 infection is valid for travel abroad, but this may vary according to the rules of each country.
A positive test result dating back more than eleven days and which proves Covid-19 infection serves as a certificate. A person already infected being less contagious, this certificate is therefore valid as a vaccination pass.
To travel, the positive result must have been obtained by means of a PCR test whereas, on national territory, an antigen is sufficient. Serological tests and self-tests are not accepted. The positive PCR test is worth vaccinating for a maximum of 180 days (6 months), says the European Council.
While all 27 EU member states should in theory accept the certificate of reinstatement, it is important to check each country’s regulations before leaving, as additional measures may have been put in place, such as quarantine or presentation of a recent negative test.

The United States, for example, considers a full vaccination regimen to be equivalent to two doses of vaccine and does not recognize Covid-19 infection as equivalent to one injection. Government advice by country is available online on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In France, from February 15, the reinstatement certificate will have its duration reduced. It will be only four months for those over 18, but will remain at six months for those under 18. 12-15 year olds are not subject to the vaccination pass.
