People who have contracted coronavirus have a higher risk of heart disease after 12 months

Al-Marsad newspaper: Family medicine consultant, Dr. Asaad Al-Arafa, said that people who have been infected with the Corona virus have an increased risk of heart disease.

Commenting on a report published by a medical website, Al-Arafa said: “People who have contracted Covid 19 have an increased risk of developing heart disease, following 12 months of infection.”

And the family consultant continued, through his account on Twitter: “It is considered a significant risk, and extends to a group of cardiovascular disorders.”

It is worth noting that a medical website report indicated that people who have contracted COVID-19 are more likely than others to develop heart disease, one year following infection with the coronavirus.
