Russian troops infiltrate Ukraine border – US Belarus-Russia military exercises begin

Washington: The U.S. says more troops are arriving on the Ukrainian border from various parts of Russia. The Pentagon is the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense. Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said Russia had accelerated its deployment on the Belarus-Ukraine border in 24 hours. It is estimated that regarding 1.3 lakh troops are currently stationed with all the equipment.

He said the exact number might not be ascertained but that the influx of troops into the northern region had increased.

Russia, meanwhile, has launched a 10-day joint military exercise with Belarus, which shares a border with Ukraine. Kirby noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s proposal to keep one million troops on the northern border was an indication of a strong invasion of Ukraine.

The details of the meeting with the Russian and Ukrainian leaders were revealed by the French President Emmanuel Macron. The Ministry of Defense’s remarks came following it was shared with President Jobidan.

80 tons of US weapons stockpile in Ukraine
