The S-400, a high-tech air defense missile, is also involved in the movement of 10,000 km of troops in the Far East.
President Zelensky “Psychological pressure of Neighbors”…
(Moscow=Yonhap News) Yoo Chul-jong correspondent = Russia and Belarus have begun large-scale coalition training on the 10th(local time). The training, which is being conducted in Belarus, which is neighboring Ukraine, is at the height of military tensions between the countries concerned due to concerns regarding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, further fueling the crisis of military conflict.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said on the 10th(local time) that Phase 2 of the “Coalition Resolution 2022” training has begun at several training sites in Belarus.
Until the previous day, Russia had conducted phase 1 training to move troops from the Eastern Military District stationed in its far East to Belarus, regarding 10,000 km away.
During Phase 1 training, Russia mobilized long-range bombers Tupolev(Tu)-22M3 and state-of-the-art fighter Sukhoi(Su) – 35S from the Air and Space Forces to patrol in Belarusian airspace. The Tu-22M3 is a strategic bomber capable of carrying nuclear weapons.
The Russian Defense Ministry explained that the training was intended to”block external attacks and repel missions through defensive operations, counter terrorism, and protect allied interests.”
Specifically, training will be conducted to protect the border, deter virtual enemy infiltration, cut off weapons and ammunition supplies, and discover and eliminate virtual enemy units.
Russia and Belarus, formerly part of the Soviet Union, have been promoting the creation of a “Union State” since the end of the 1990s and have a close relationship over the alliance.
This same walk in Belarus contrasts with the former Soviet state Ukraine, which is in conflict with Russia, walking pro-Western routes.
About 30,000 Russian troops and most Belarusian troops are reported to be involved in the drills, which are conducted in Brest and Domanovo, southwest Belarus, bordering Ukraine, and at the Goshsky Training Ground, close to the Polish and Lithuanian borders.
The “Baronovich” and “Lida” in western Belarus, and the “Machulish” military airfield near the capital Minsk are also used for training.
Russia, along with large forces in the Eastern Military Region, has engaged in large-scale training of advanced air defense missile system S-400, Panchiri-S anti-aircraft defense system, fourth generation multipurpose fighter Sukhoi(Su)-35, attack aircraft Su-25SM, etc.
In the West, Russia, which has deployed more than 100,000 troops near the eastern border of Ukraine since last year, has observed that if it actually invades Ukraine, it might use the Belarusian contingent to attack the north of Ukraine.
However, Russia denies the plan to invade Ukraine itself, stating that all units committed to union training with Belarus will be withdrawn to their original garrisons as soon as the training is over.
Ukraine is unable to hide tensions and insecurity in the Russian-Belarusian union exercises near its borders.
On the 10th, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky criticized”the gathering of troops on the Ukrainian border is a psychological pressure from our neighbors, “claiming that”We have enough troops to honorably defend our country.”
Ukraine will conduct “Match training” for 10 days to 10 days, the Russian-Belarusian training period.
“The training of them(Russia and Belarus)will be conducted on 10-20 days,”Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said in an interview with his country’s television broadcast on the 7th, “we will also be training in the same period.”
He introduced that the training will be conducted at nine regional training sites: Liune-Kovel(western), Chernihiv(northern), Chukhyiv(Eastern), and Odessa(southern).
He explained that the training would include the Bayraktar, an attack drone supplied by Turkey, the Javelin, an anti-tank missile provided by the United States, and the NLAW, a joint British-Swedish short-range anti-tank missile supported by the United Kingdom.
The level of tension around Ukraine has increased as Russia, Belarus, which is hostile to the West, and Ukraine, which is supported by the WEST by walking pro-Western routes, border each other and enter large-scale military exercises at the same time.
