Dubai, United Arab Emirates (.)—Egyptian businessman Naguib Sawiris has commented on statements made by Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary-General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, in which he attacked the UAE and its purchase of tens of billions of weapons.
This came in a tweet by Sawiris on his Twitter page, where he said: “How does your words help Lebanon?””.
Nasrallah said in an interview on Iran’s al-Alam channel and quoted by the country’s official news agency: “the UAE since its founding to today as a modern country, has bought tens of billions of dollars missiles, aircraft, weapons, military technology, etc., and in front of the first direct confrontation with Ansar Allah (Houthi), The Scream in the UAE..”
“They started by asking the Americans to send ships, missiles and aircraft to protect the UAE, and also Britain and France to protect the UAE, and they also asked for Israeli assistance. The UAE, in exchange for Ansar Allah, and in the first confrontation, turned to the world’s great powers, and to “Israel” in order to help protect it, what can the UAE or Bahrain provide on the military level to the Israelis in the Persian Gulf region or elsewhere,”he said.
