This February 09, Axie Infinity announced the new changes it will implement in the new Arena PvP Season 20, in which it is significantly reduce the reward of SLP.
Among the measure more important to be implemented, there is the increased rewards of AXS of the Leaderboard and the elimination of SLP rewards granted in the Daily Quest and adventure mode.
SLP rewards removed in Adventure and Daily Quest mode
Removing rewards SLP in the adventure mode and Daily Quest have caused controversy among Axie Infinity players, as complete both modes guaranteed 75 SLP per day.
” As a first step in stabilizing the economy, we’ve removed all SLP rewards from adventure mode (this includes SLP rewards for completing them for the first time), ” according to release.
Therefore, now the adventure mode will be used only for new players they can practice their battle tactics before entering Arena mode, where they will face other players in order to rank and get more SLP.

Increased the number of players on the Leaderboard
Another important measure they implemented was the expansion of the number of Leaderboard positions to 300,000 players. In addition, the rewards to be distributed were increased to 117,676 AXS (regarding $ 7 million).

Changed trophy ranks and SLP rewards

Consideration is still being given to making energy scales linearly for Axies held in the same account. For now, this idea will be studied during Season 20.
These new updates seek to increase the participation players and improving the game token economy, which since last week have had a major recovery.
