The number of young people who hate China’s arrogant view of history increases, anti-Japan decreases
Although the US government was a “diplomatic boycott”, the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics was held as planned on 2/4.
However, South Koreans who watched the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics doubted their eyes and were angry.
At the opening ceremony, a young girl wearing a traditional Korean costume called “Hanbok” was shown.
The performance was called “Small Citizens’ Flag Transmission” and the performers wore costumes of ethnic minorities, symbolizing people representing the Chinese ethnic group.
One of them was wearing a traditional Korean costume called Chimachogori (traditional costume for women).
Looking at this fact alone, it seems that the Korean people, one of the ethnic minorities in China, are only wearing hanbok, so there is no need to stand up for themselves.
However, it is the feelings of the Koreans that they get angry when they think regarding the work of China, which has been deceived by cultural aggression so far.
For example, from 2002 to 2007, China carried out a project called “Northeast Project” and compiled a historical view of Goguryeo and Baekje (sometimes including Silla), which existed on the Korean Peninsula including South Korea, and Bohai Sea in Primorye, as local administrations in Chinese history.
In other words, it is a historical view that South Korea and North Korea are China’s vassals.
This developed into a diplomatic issue between China and South Korea in 2006, but at the government level, it has reached an agreement that “it should be solved by academic debate, not by political issues.”
