Washington – The death of Black Amir Locke in a police operation in the US metropolis of Minneapolis has sparked new consternation in the United States. Locke, 22, was shot dead on Wednesday by officers entering his home on a search warrant. Mayor Jacob Frey announced on Friday the stop of the so-called “no-knock warrants”, with which the police do not have to make themselves known at the door beforehand. Locke’s parents accused officers of “executing” their son upon waking up.
