Re-correcting the title: “The Prime Minister of the Congo, not the President of the Congo”.

By Munira Al-Sumaiti, DUBAI, 5th February / WAM/ His Excellency Anatole Coligne Makuso, Prime Minister of the Republic of the Congo said that his country enjoys distinguished relations with the United Arab Emirates and Congo looks forward to expanding the scope of cooperation between the two countries in common areas.

This came during a press conference held at the Expo Media Center on the sidelines of the Republic of the Congo’s celebration of its National Day at Expo 2020 Dubai.

His Excellency Anatole Coligne Makuso spoke regarding the agreements and investments that are expected to be agreed upon between the two countries…noting that the Congo has what it needs to manage investments, and several meetings were held with relevant officials to discuss ways of trade exchange that would allow investors from the UAE to come to and invest in Congo.

His Excellency added that the Republic of the Congo has many potentials in the fields of economy, industry, financial exchange, digitization, and agriculture. It possesses 340,000 square kilometers of area that can be cultivated for any product. It has a prosperous environment, natural resources, and many attractive tourism activities. It also has many ports that need someone to explore and invest in.

He stated that the Republic of the Congo was able to face difficulties following two years of the pandemic, as the death rate from infection with the Corona virus reached 1.6 percent, and it has vaccinated nearly 30 thousand people, like other countries of the world, striving with all its capabilities to move from the stage of fear to the stage of flexibility and adaptation.
