| Dileep’s bail plea: Decision on Monday

Kochi: The High Court will give its verdict on Monday on the anticipatory bail application of actor Dileep in the case of conspiracy to assassinate the investigating officers in the case of attacking the actress.

The arguments of both the parties in the petition are complete. 10.30am Justice P. Gopinath will pronounce the verdict. Defendant stated that he has a few more things to say and will give a detailed counter-note. The court directed him to write down what he had to say next.

Dileep’s lawyer had yesterday asked the prosecution to allow him to give a detailed answer following raising some new allegations.

During the hearing yesterday, the prosecution alleged that the case started from an unparalleled crime. Dileep was quoted as saying that he was getting video footage of his colleague being sexually harassed. The goal was met intelligently with precise planning. He also devised a strategy to escape the clutches of the law. Dileep committed a crime that even those who drafted the Indian Penal Code (IPC) did not think regarding. Therefore, the prosecution argued that Dileep was not eligible for anticipatory bail.
