Macron wants to strengthen the EU with the Schengen Council – Europe

Lille/Brussels – With a new proposal by July, France wants to bring movement to the deadlocked fronts of the common EU migration policy. Since the great refugee crisis of 2015, the EU Commission and the governments of the member states have been looking for ways to compromise. So far, however, there has been no substantial progress either in asylum policy or in measures once morest illegal people smuggling and securing the external borders.
