The Kingdom of Belgium, which has borders with France, Germany and the Netherlands, is located in the center of Europe and has been a transportation hub since ancient times. Although it is a small country, it is said that it has a central EU (27 member countries) such as the European Commission, the European Parliament, and the European Council for geographical reasons.
Belgium is now one of the countries in Europe where many immigrants live.
In Brussels, the capital of Belgium, there is a cobblestone square “Grand Place” that has been registered as a World Heritage Site. Foreign tourists have disappeared due to the new corona virus, but people of various nationalities are still gathering and spending their time as they wish. It is also because the people of Brussels are becoming more multinational.
Belgium is a multilingual community with three official languages, French, German and Dutch, and a complex federal state consisting of three regions: Flanderen, Warony and Brussels. Since ancient times, we have built a country while acknowledging different languages and cultures. According to the statistical survey platform “Statista”, Belgium’s population in 2020 will be regarding 11.49 million, of which regarding 1.42 million (regarding 12.3%) will be foreign nationals.
