What controversy around the new film adaptation of the tale Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs! The Disney studios have indeed chosen a mixed-race actress to embody the princess “with skin as white as snow”, respect for minorities obliges! But that was counting without the susceptibility of some, castigating the presence of dwarfs in the film, conveying a negative stereotype of short people. Exit the dwarfs, replaced by “magical creatures of the forest”. At this stage, the remake can no longer claim to be the original work…
But above all, why stop on such a good path? I imagine that the next to come forward will be the mothers-in-law, representing a significant proportion of the population. They too will denounce the retrograde stereotype that taints the jealous stepmother of her daughter-in-law. We will have to find another idea to embody the villain – I dare not say the villain – of the story and pay close attention.
