Apple allows you to use apps that are not listed in the App Store

Apple introduced a new feature that allows apps to be released in the App Store in the form of a direct link that makes it easier for developers to distribute software that is not intended for public use.

And the MacRumors website reported that Apple stated on the developers’ website that unlisted apps do not appear in any of the App Store categories, suggestions, charts, search results, or other lists, but can be accessed through the “Apple” platforms. Apple Business Manager and Apple School Manager.

The company added that developers can use this ability to distribute apps to specific groups such as part-time employees, students, and others, as well as employee devices that are not managed through those platforms.

There are other ways to release iOS apps within the company, but the ability to download this software via the App Store makes managing it easier for the average person. And if they can download a social media app or mobile game, they can install the software they need to work with some limitations.

Developers must apply to release unlisted apps to prevent abuse from developers who avoid scrutiny of their software, and anyone with the direct link used to access the app will be able to install it on their device.

Applications for specific organizations, special events, research studies, employee resource applications, or sales tools are good applications for unlisted distribution. Developers can submit a request to release an unlisted application through the Apple Developer website.
