Find out which EPS was assigned to you after the liquidation of Coomeva

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection announced the distribution of the almost 1.2 million Coomeva EPS users who were left in suspense following the Superintendence of Health ordered the liquidation of the entity.

“There are fourteen insurers that receive these users in 23 departments of the country, giving priority to the fundamental right to health of Colombians, guaranteeing quality, opportunity, continuity and health care for members and their families”, said Iván Mesa, director of Assurance of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.

The allocation, in order from highest to lowest user recipients, was made to Nueva EPS, EPS Sura, EPS Sanitas, Salud Total, Coosalud, Famisanar, Compensar, Comfenalco Valle, Cajacopi, Mutual Ser, Comfaoriente, Salud Mía, Aliansalud EPS and EPS Tights.

These entities will begin to guarantee the right to health of transferred patients Starting Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Likewise, during the last days of January, Coomeva EPS must continue to provide services to nearly 1.2 million users.

“It is recommended that, in order to facilitate access to health services, the contributing member or head of the family contacts the assigned EPS and update your basic data and your family group”, pointed out the director of Assurance of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.

It is up to the receiving EPSs to initiate the procedures to adjust their network, analyze the characterization of the population and the data of each user to give continuity to the provision of their health services.
