Founded eight years ago, Index Art Book Fair (IABF) is a platform that supports the production and distribution of art publications, with an emphasis on maker and print books that reveal experimental approaches to editing, writing and printing.

This fair brings together the main independent art publishers from America and Europe, covering formats ranging from author books and collectively edited magazines, to catalogs, monographs, fanzines and photobooks, among others.

NEW DIALOGS

The 2022 edition seeks to repeat the successful partnership between IABF and Kurimanzutto that took place in 2020, which was characterized by having brought together more than 57 publishers from 11 countries. For this year, 60 exhibitors bring their publications, in addition to other forms such as prints (engravings, posters), multiples of artists, rare and out-of-print books, as well as different collectibles such as notebooks and t-shirts.

The public program of Index is one of the central axes of the project and this time it started from the loss of collective spaces and the fragmentation that characterizes the dynamics fostered by capitalism. In this way, it seeks to identify common actions and coalitions that allow rebuilding collective spaces and models that counteract the logic of competition.
