Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), revealed the readiness of Thai athletes to compete in the 24th Winter Olympic Games in Beijing. People’s Republic of China Between 4 – 20 Feb. 65 that for this competition, Thailand sent athletes to participate in all 2 sports, 4 people, consisting of 1. Mr. Mak Chanluang, a cross-country ski athlete ( Male), 2. Ms. Karen Chanlueng, cross-country skier (female), 3. Mr. Nicola Zanon, alpine skier (male), and 4. Ms. Mida Fajai Mun, alpine ski athlete (female)
“All 4 athletes have kept training in Italy. and France The athletes are physically and mentally prepared to participate in the Winter Olympics. It also separates training by keeping distance. to prevent covid-19 according to the measures of that country strictly by the Sports Authority of Thailand Monitor and supervise sports science and close training including continual evaluation before the competition.”
“For the goal of this race, both cross-country skiers want to be ranked in the top 40 of the competition. Expect to do your best in the competition. Because of the past work not finish the race and Ms. Mida Fah Chaimun, a female alpine skier, whose goal is to be in the top 40 of the competition. because it is the first time to participate in the competition”
The governor of SAT added that For the issue that the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) does not endorse Thailand. Because the statute of the World Anti-Doping Organization has not yet been complied with. It is well known that at present, the Royal Decree (Royal Decree) amending the Sports Doping Control Act B.E. 2555, B.E. 2021, has been considered and approved. After the 18th Senate session is completed, the independent committee will refer the matter to the Wada Board of Directors for consideration. And the last day to cycle is February 2nd, and if the Board of Directors of Wada agrees with the independent directors Thailand will be removed from the list of non-compliance with Wada rules and all four penalties will be waived for Thailand.
