“Cameroon will do everything to be in the final” of the CAN

He is one of the most famous footballers on the African continent. Cameroonian double African champion Roger Milla answered questions from France 24 on the African Cup of Nations.

African football legend Roger Milla, double winner of the 1984 and 1988 African Cup of Nations with Cameroon, answered questions from France 24’s special correspondent, Benoît Perrochais, in Yaoundé.

The former Indomitable Lions striker regretted the tragic crowd movement, on January 24, in front of a stadium in Yaoundé, which cost the lives of eight people: “It was an incident that hurt us very, very badly, that we we deplore”.

Asked regarding the various controversies that have punctuated the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon, the former champion regretted a relentless “useless” criticism of his country.

Finally, regarding the performance of his team, Roger Milla wanted to be lucid: “We will do everything to be in the final, but we know that it will be hard”.
