Warships and logistic ships of the Russian Baltic Fleet participated in the drill, which is part of the exercises that are being carried out by 140 ships of the four Russian fleets and a flotilla in the adjacent seas of the country.

Ships of the Russian Baltic Fleet hit air targets with artillery fire during one of the exercises that the different fleets of the country are conducting in various seas adjacent to Russia.

The guided missile corvettes Mytishchi, Odintsovo and Zeleniy Dol participated in the training, detailed the Ministry of Defence of the Eurasian country.

Air targets were simulated by 152mm shells fired by Akatsiya self-propelled howitzers from Cape Taran in the Kaliningrad region.

About twenty warships and logistics ships are taking part in the drill, in addition to planes and helicopters attached to the Baltic Fleet’s naval aviation.

Previously, the command of the Russian Navy had announced the beginning of a series of exercises that will take place in January-February and in which the country’s four fleets and one flotilla will participate.

More than 140 warships and logistics vessels, more than 60 aircraft, a thousand units of military equipment and nearly 10,000 troops will participate in these maneuvers.
