Egyptian scriptwriter Tamer Habib sparked widespread controversy because of the post he wrote on his official account on “Facebook”, commenting on the crisis surrounding the movie “Friends and Dearest”.
Habib used a sarcastic method in his defense of the film, saying, “Mona Zaki congratulates her disbanded colleagues for their decadent film, and expresses her happiness that she participated in this dissolution and enjoyed filming it, and I am from this position as a very decadent person. Especially Mona Zaki, who is talented, hardworking, intelligent, loyal and diligent.”
He also added: “I have a decadent opinion that I like to say, which is that the global decadent platform directed at spreading dissolution throughout the world and presenting strange needs in societies does not have any presence on the ground of the pure, chaste, and honorable reality. Limit”.
Criticizing the idealist claim, he continued, “This society that does not understand the meaning of betrayal, homosexuality, lying, falsehood and collusion, I tell him that the Netflix platform, God forbid, they are supposed to give thanks and gratitude and moral, material and literary appreciation to the dissolved Mona Zaki, because the size of her stardom achieved for the platform the greatest and most successful marketing plan for their Arab productions. throughout the Arab and Western world.

Since the first hours of the film’s release on the digital platform, there is a state of severe division among the followers, with demands to stop showing the film, ban it, and hold those responsible to account.
It is worth noting that the movie “Friends and Dearest” represents the Arabic version of the famous Italian movie Perfect Strangers, the first Arab production for the “Netflix” network, starring Mona Zaki, Iyad Nassar, Nadine Labaki and Adel Karam.
