Poor sleep always has negative consequences during the day. Lack of sleep can also contribute to weight gain. If you sleep less than your body needs, you will also notice that you are more irritable and even, in very extreme cases, you may start to experience symptoms of depression.
But restful sleep does not always depend on us. For example, due to a vitamin D deficiency, sleep may be impaired.
A poor diet or lack of certain important vitamins, such as vitamin D, can significantly impair nighttime sleep, some studies have shown.
According to Tododisca, the latest double-blind study conducted on people aged 20 to 50 showed that this vitamin plays a crucial role in sleep. For eight weeks, one group was given a total of 3,500 IU of vitamin D per day, while the other was given a placebo tablet.
What was the result? The study noticed that the group that consumed vitamin D had improved sleep quality. In total, we are talking regarding an hour of sleep per day and the rest itself has become better.
