Mohamed Abu Al-Wafa, a member of the Egyptian Football Association, confirmed that they did not receive any requests from the Portuguese coach, Carlos Queiroz, the coach of the national team regarding preparations for the first match once morest Senegal, in the framework of the decisive round of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Abu Al-Wafa said in statements on MBC Egypt: “All matters related to Senegal’s decisive match in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers will be following the completion of participation in the African Nations Cup.”
He added, “We did not discuss this match with the board of directors of the Egyptian Football Association.”
He continued, “We were not presented with requests from Queiroz for this match, and we talk daily in the Football Association, and there is no talk regarding the final match once morest Senegal.”
In response to Queiroz’s request to set up a camp 10 minutes before the first match and to hold friendly matches and attend the fans at the Cairo Stadium, he commented: “We have not received these requests, and no voice is currently louder than the sound of the African Nations Cup.”
