Rs 25 subsidy for petrol in Jharkhand; Concessions for 20 lakh families this year | Jharkhand

Ranchi: The Jharkhand government has announced a Rs 25 subsidy for petrol. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has said that the subsidy scheme will start from Republic Day. As petrol prices have been high for the past few months, the plan is to benefit the state’s low-income two-wheeler users.

The government has also launched the CM Support app for this. The CM said that BPL category pink and green ration card holders can get up to 10 liters of petrol a month at a discount of Rs 25 if they register through the app. That means a family can get a fuel subsidy of up to Rs 250 per month.

Only vehicle owners with ration card names can apply for the scheme. You need to register with Apple by entering the bank account number and mobile number associated with Aadhaar. After verification, the subsidy will be credited directly to the bank accounts. According to Soren, the scheme will provide subsidy to 20 lakh households this financial year and 30 lakh households in the next financial year.
