Former Pakistan fast bowler Shuaib Akhtar has hit out at Kohli’s career over his marriage to Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma.
Virat Kohli’s anticipation for the 71st International Century has become a hot topic in the cricket world.
Former India captain Kohli is going through a bad phase in his career, despite getting off to a good start but failing to score a century. It’s been regarding two years since a century was born from that bat.
Former Pakistan fast bowler Shuaib Akhtar has said that his marriage to Bollywood star Anushka Sharma has affected his career.
“There is pressure on Kohli. I wanted him to get married following he scored 120 centuries. I would not have married if I had been in that position, however it was his personal decision. ” Akhtar said while talking to ANI.
Akhtar said that Virat Kohli was forced to step down as India captain.
Last year, Kohli vacated his captaincy in the T20I and was subsequently removed from the ODI captaincy as the selectors demanded a captain for the white-ball format. Kohli stepped down as India’s Test captain last week following leading the team for seven years.

“Virat did not resign as captain but was forced to do so. This is not a good time for him, but he needs to prove what he is. He is a great person and player. Don’t try a lot of things, just go there and play. He is a great batsman and has achieved more than anyone else in the world. He just needs to get down on the field and play with his natural flow. ”
“He plays a lot with his lower hand, and when form is lacking, I think players like this usually get in trouble first. I think he’s coming out of this. We must move forward without harming anyone. Forgive everyone and move on, ”he added.
