Today (Sunday), the spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdali, reviewed the developments in confronting the novel coronavirus pandemic in the Kingdom.
He explained, during the press conference on Corona developments, that the Kingdom is witnessing a decline in cases of Corona injuries in the Kingdom, and he also stressed that the numbers of critical cases are much lower than they were in previous stages of the pandemic, which indicates the effectiveness of vaccines, stressing the need to ensure vaccination and access on booster doses.
He stressed that the PCR examination is performed when symptoms appear, and he also stressed that the quarantine is for people who are in contact with those who are not immunized, explaining that “reassuring” clinics serve people who suffer from health symptoms or illness that require a medical evaluation of the case, and are not primarily for laboratory tests.
In response to a question regarding the booster dose, a spokesman for the Ministry of Health confirmed that those vaccinated with two doses who were infected with corona can receive the booster dose as soon as they recover.
