The examination of the bill transforming the health pass into a vaccination pass has provoked heated debates in the National Assembly and the Senate since the beginning of January, shifting the initial timetable for the adoption of the text by Parliament. The text has also been widely commented on by the French political class, in particular by the declared candidates for the 2022 presidential election.

The opportunity to review their positions on vaccination once morest Covid-19, which still arouses some reluctance among some. With in particular three topics on which we questioned them: the vaccination of children, the lifting of patents from the pharmaceutical industries and compulsory vaccination.

For most of the candidates questioned, vaccination is necessary, even essential, to stem the Covid-19 epidemic. They are also in the majority to oppose the vaccination obligation, with the exception of the socialist candidate, Anne Hidalgo.

Regarding the vaccination of children, opinions diverge more, with far-right candidates, who are all opposed to this health measure, and others who line up behind parental responsibility.

Finally, the lifting of patents for vaccines once morest Covid-19 is a measure widely supported on the left, while it is rejected on the right, with the exception of Nicolas Dupont-Aignan.
