The “Chingguo Seven Seas Cultural Park” officially opened today (22nd). President Tsai Ing-wen, former President Ma Ying-jeou, Taiwan People’s Party Chairman Ko Wenzhe and Kuomintang Chairman Zhu Lilun were all invited to the scene to pay tribute to former President Chiang Ching-kuo. Zhu Lilun also praised in a Facebook post that Chiang Ching-kuo is the helmsman of Taiwan’s democratization, and he also pointed out that the ruling party let Wanru Dongchang promote the transfer without caring regarding the lives of the people. Chen Tzuyu, deputy director of Taiwan’s Jijin News Department, believes that Zhu Lilun wanted to use democracy to hit Tsai Ing-wen, but he hit Chiang Kai-shek, which is really ironic.
Zhu Lilun said in a document that Chiang Ching-kuo was the helmsman of Taiwan’s democratization. He personally ended the authoritarian system and led Taiwan into democracy and freedom. On the other hand, the current government has let people who have unconstitutional concerns to promote the transfer, and the struggle for liquidation is like a factory.
But Chen Ziyu pointed out that the killer of Taiwan’s democratization is Chiang Kai-shek, who engages in white terror. The person who founded the authoritarian system was also Chiang Kai-shek who declared martial law.
Chen Ziyu also mentioned that the Lin house murder case, the Jiangnan case, and the Beautiful Island incident were all major cases during Chiang Ching-kuo’s tenure. If it wasn’t for the concern and pressure of non-Party people and international friends, how might Chiang Ching-kuo give in and announce the lifting of the law.
Chen Ziyu sighed that the biggest irony of Zhu Lilun’s article was that he did not dare to oppose the Communist Party throughout the whole article, but only dared to oppose Cai. “I want to use democracy to hit Cai, but I hit Chiang Kai-shek.”
