In the music world, 2022 is a big anniversary year. Numerous stars and bands celebrate this with tours through Germany.

Numerous stars and bands are traveling through Germany with their 2022 birthday tours. They celebrate 20, 30, sometimes even 50 years on stage. Despite the increasing number of Corona cases, they are planning the shows – some have already postponed their concerts from previous years to 2022. Fans can look forward to these anniversary tours:

Culcha Candela – 20 years

The Berlin band Culcha Candela was founded in 2002 – 20 years later it is one of the most successful music groups in Germany. Mateo Jasik alias Itchy (43) and Co. celebrate their birthday with their “HOPE” tour 2022. The concerts start in May in Kiel.

Herbert Grönemeyer – 20 years “human”

Herbert Grönemeyer (65) is one of the biggest music stars in Germany. His album “Mensch” from 2002 is the best-selling album in this country. 20 years have passed since publication. The musician is going on an anniversary tour through Germany with the band Sportfreunde Stiller. The eight planned concerts will take place in May and June.

Michelle – 30 years

Singer Michelle (49) celebrates her 30th stage anniversary in 2022 with many concerts. The “Michelle – 30 years, that’s it – not yet” tour starts at the end of September in Düsseldorf. The 49-year-old will give more than 20 concerts in Germany. There is also another festival for the singer in 2022: In February she will celebrate her 50th birthday.

The Fantastic Four – 30 Years

“Forever 30 Years Live” is the name of the Fantastischen Vier tour, which has been scheduled to take place for two years now. Because of the corona pandemic, the people of Stuttgart had to postpone their concerts once more and once more, and now the shows are to go on stage in 2022. It starts in Bonn in mid-May.

The princes – 30 years

With their hits like “Kissen forbidden” and “Alles nur stolen”, the princes are one of the best-known German bands. They are celebrating their 30th anniversary with numerous concerts entitled “30 Years, 30 Hits, 30 Cities – The Anniversary Tour 2022/2023”. The musicians will start in Büsum in June and will then be on the road for a year.

Andrea Berg – 30 years “You are free”

Pop star Andrea Berg (55) is also celebrating a special anniversary in 2022: her debut album “Du bist frei” was released in 1992, and 30 years later she is now going on an extended birthday tour. The “30 Years Andrea Berg” shows start at the end of July in Aspach.

Die Toten Hosen – 40 years

The rockers from Düsseldorf have been on stage for 40 years. The Toten Hosen celebrate this occasion with a big tour through Germany. Her “Everything out of love” shows start in Cologne in June and end in Minden in September. On your website the band announces: “We can’t wait to get going once more.”

Simple Minds – 40 years

The Scottish music group Simple Minds can almost celebrate their 45th anniversary, because their 40th birthday was in 2018. Because of the corona pandemic, the rockers will only catch up on the anniversary tour in 2022. With their “Celebrating 40 Years of Hits Live” concerts, they will be making 15 stops in Germany.

Judas Priest – 50 years

The heavy metal band Judas Priest was formed in 1969. The Brits actually celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2019 and wanted to celebrate with a big tour around the world. But then the pandemic got in the way of the musicians and the shows had to be postponed once more and once more. Judas Priest are coming to Germany on their “50 Heavy Metal Years” tour in June, July and August 2022 on six dates.

City – 50 years

City got their big break in the 1970s with the song “Am Fenster”. In 2022 the German band will be 50 years old. On this occasion, the musicians want to go on tour one last time. The concerts entitled “The Last Round” should be the band’s farewell to the stage. The tour kicks off in July in Berlin.
