Improvements to the Nintendo Switch Online version of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Thanks to today’s N64 app update as part of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service, it looks like Nintendo has made some subtle improvements to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

The app has been updated to bring Banjo-Kazooie. However, players have discovered that Ocarina of Time has also been revisited. You may recall that the N64 emulation launched in a somewhat rough state on Nintendo’s console, and when it came to Zelda: Ocarina of Time, players reported issues with aspects such as fog, draw distances and water textures.

But, as shared by Twitter user OatmealDome, the Water Temple room has been tweaked slightly to make it look better and closer to previous versions of the game. Despite being a small improvement, it’s encouraging to see that Nintendo isn’t abandoning N64 games entirely once they’ve been added to the Nintendo Switch Online program.
