The members of the UN Security Council condemned “in the strongest terms the heinous terrorist attacks launched in Abu Dhabi last Monday by the Houthi rebels in Yemen, in a statement issued unanimously yesterday,” according to diplomats.

Ambassador Lana Nusseibeh, Permanent Representative of the United Arab Emirates to the United Nations, presented the UAE message to the Norwegian Ambassador to the United Nations, Mona Juul, whose country chairs the United Nations Security Council for the month of January. The letter condemned “the Houthis’ targeting of civilians and civilian objects, stressing that it is a flagrant violation of international law.” The UAE called on the Security Council to “unequivocally condemn the Houthi attacks.”
