The report of Legal Medicine points out that of the 26,803 violent deaths, 13,032 were homicides; 7,307 are related to transportation accidents; 3,149 with other types of accidents and 2,595 suicides.
Records indicate that they were 3,296 more violent deaths than those registered in 2020.
Assault and personal injury figures are also worrying. The number of injuries from assaults also increased. In total, 160,890 cases were registered.
Among the most striking cases is a record of 65,450 cases of interpersonal violence; 51,610 cases of domestic violence, and 21,434 medical examinations were carried out for alleged sexual abuse.
