Who would’ve believed that ? In terms of ray tracing, the RTX 3050 outclasses the GTX 1650 / 1050!

NVIDIA communicates very instructive measurements.

You are not unaware that the GeForce RTX 3050 arrives in a few days, on January 27 precisely. After the recent RTX 2050 mobile, it will be the second xx5x benchmark to benefit from hardware-accelerated ray tracing. So that this characteristic escapes no one, NVIDIA has published the most instructive performance diagram in the history of hardware.

From now on, you are therefore warned that on ray tracing games (Control and Minecraft in this case), the RTX 3050 does much better than two cards that do not support this technology or DLSS (lack of RT and Tensor cores) , namely the GTX 1650 and GTX 1050. Reassured?

Jarred Walton of Tom’s Hardware US completed this comparison.

Joking aside, we learn that in Full HD, with high game settings, and DLSS on quality mode, the GeForce RTX 3050, associated with an Intel Core i9-10900K processor, delivers an average of around 75 and 65 of who knows what (IPS, just in case) on Control and Minecraft respectively.

On Borderlands 3, a game on which the unfortunate GTX still have some IPS to deliver, the RTX 3050 would offer regarding twice as many frames per second (75 once morest 38 at the ladle) than the GTX 1650.

Lots of stock for the GeForce RTX 3050?

8 GB of GDDR6 and PCIe 4.0 x16

Equipped with a GA106-150 GPU, the RTX 3050 will theoretically be offered from 279 euros. It has 2560 CUDA cores, 8 GB of GDDR6 memory and a PCIe Gen4 x16 interface. You can check out its specs compared to AMD’s RTX 3060 and Radeon RX 6500 XT in the table below.
