Five contract extensions and three commitments for next season have reportedly been placed in a drawer in Porrentruy’s office.

New players should join the Jura team.

Vincent Léchenne, the GM of HC Ajoie, had promised announcements for this week. The first, not necessarily the most anticipated, fell on Wednesday with the immediate commitment and for a period of five years of Julien Vauclair as technical director.

But what regarding the workforce itself? According to our information, the Bruntrutain committee will communicate in the next few days (next hours?) five contract extensions as well as the commitment of three players for the coming season. Remember that at present, no transfer has been formalized by HC Ajoie for the 2022/23 championship. So it can’t be long.

Return of Östlund?

If no name has been revealed, the profile of the reinforcements in question has already been established. This is an experienced rear established in the National League for some time, as well as two attackers from an NL formation for one, from the Swiss League for the second.

Vincent Léchenne, now supported by Vauclair, is also seeking to repatriate Viktor Östlund to Porrentruy, who returned to Lausanne at the end of November following a seven-game freelance spell with Ajoie. The Swedish-born goalkeeper finds himself supernumerary once more at the Vaudoise Arena since the return from injury at the start of the year of the holder Tobias Stephan.

Currently, it is Eino Rissanen, the usual goalkeeper of the U20s of the HCA, who officiates as Tim Wolf’s understudy. The direction of the “yellow and black” thus wishes to be able to count on the presence of Östlund in order to assist Wolf during his exhausting working evenings. Discussions between Léchenne and John Fust, the LHC trainer, even concern a possible commitment for the coming exercise. To be continued…
