do not wait for the Health Insurance to call you to carry out your procedures

In this period of epidemic wave, the Health Insurance is adapting the methods of Contact tracing to continue to ensure its essential mission of supporting and informing people impacted by Covid-19.

Faced with the growth in the number of cases, Health Insurance therefore now mainly informs people who test positive for Covid-19 (zero patients) by personalized SMS. Those SMS are not doubled as a call. Phone calls are indeed reserved for people who do not have a mobile number.

Concretely, what happens in the event of a positive test?

The next day, patient zero receives a first SMS from Health Insurance (from the number 38663) intended to break the chain of contamination. This SMS invites him to identify – via a link to a dedicated online service – the people with whom he has been in contact, without sufficient protection (therefore at risk of transmission of the disease), according to a precise timetable.

IMPORTANT
To date, this list of contact cases is not automatically transmitted to the Health Insurance. Patients zero are therefore asked to prevent their contact cases themselves and to invite them to consult the isolation and test instructions that apply to their situation on the site ameli.fr

On the same day, patient zero receives a second SMS from Health Insurance intended to remind him of the health instructions to follow, according to his vaccination schedule.

If patient zero is not able to telecommute, he must ask himself for a work stoppage on the home care declaration website declare.ameli.fr.

In case of difficulties in carrying out the procedure:
– ameliBot, the Health Insurance chatBot, available from his ameli account.
– the Contact tracing platform, Monday to Sunday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., including public holidays.

In recent years, the Health Insurance has been the subject, like other institutions, of phishing attempts. Here are some points of vigilance to ensure that the message comes from the Health Insurance:

health insurance never asks for personal details (Social Security number, credit card number or RIB/IBAN…)
– by telephone, Health Insurance advisers can give information that only they know (name of the attending physician, name of patient zero (if he has given his explicit consent) if the called parties are his contact cases. ..)
