Toyota officially confirmed that the waiting time for SUV customers Land Cruiser new generation (index “300”) may stretch for four years. Such a message appeared on the Japanese automaker’s website.
“Delivery times for cars can be up to four years. We will do our best to reduce the time to receive your order, and thank you for your understanding,” Toyota said in a statement.
In August 2021, the Japanese press wrote that those who want to get a new Land Cruiser 300 may have to wait up to four years for a car. Already at that time, Toyota received regarding 20 thousand applications for the purchase of an SUV, while the production plan of the company included the production of only 5 thousand copies of the model per year.
In the same month, the first batch of Toyota Land Cruiser 300 reached Russia. At the same time, as Autonews.ru found out then, dealers began to sell the car with an extra charge of up to 3 million rubles. The surcharges were explained by the installation of additional equipment.
At the same time, the list of retrofits, as a rule, includes a standard set: anti-corrosion treatment of the bottom, crankcase protection, tinting and alarm. As an alternative, sellers offer customers to conclude a supply contract at a retail recommended price, however, waiting times can take from 1 year or more.
Recall that the new generation Toyota Land Cruiser SUV, which received the “300” index, is available with a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine with two turbines with a capacity of 415 hp, as well as with a 299-horsepower 3.3-liter turbodiesel. Both engines work together with a ten-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system. At the moment, the recommended retail prices for an SUV start at 5,777,000 rubles.
