“A political instrumentalization”: the wife of Jean-Jacques Bourdin condemns the statements of Valérie Pécresse

This Tuesday evening, Jean-Jacques Bourdin, in turmoil following accusations of sexual assault, received Valérie Pécresse on BFM TV as part of the political program “France in the eyes”.

After admitting to having questioned his participation in the show because of the suspicions hanging over the journalist, the Republican candidate then severely reframed him, assuring that such accusations – if true – were “very serious ” and were to “be condemned”. “The law of silence is over,” hammered the presidential candidate once more.

This Wednesday evening, journalist Anne Nivat, wife of Jean-Jacques Bourdin, castigated the remarks of the president of the Île-de-France region. Invited on the set of “C à vous”, the great reporter accused Pécresse of taking advantage of the situation for political ends. “It’s an immediate political instrumentalization, it’s communication,” she lamented. And to continue: “We were treated to a communication exercise that I disapprove of”.

The one who has shared Jean-Jacques Bourdin’s life since 2006, however, shared the opinion of the Republican candidate on certain points: “I agree with Valérie Pécresse when she fights once morest violence once morest women. agreement with Valérie Pécresse when she defends the presumption of innocence and it is necessary to believe in it”.

As a reminder, the Paris prosecutor’s office opened an investigation on January 18 following the accusations once morest Bourdin. BFM TV has also decided to conduct an internal investigation, while keeping the journalist on the air.
