Manchester United had to wait until the second half to gain the upper hand over Brentford, but then didn’t give up.

Whereas Cristiano Ronaldo started following missing two games due to hip problems, the solution came in the second half from the works of a player almost half his age: the young talent Anthony Elanga was established for the second consecutive time by Ralf Rangnick, and the Swede opened the scoring in the 55th, served by Fred. Elanga scored his second professional goal there: in May 2021, he offered victory to the Red Devils in Wolverhampton.

Mason Greenwood doubled the bet in the 62nd, served by Bruno Fernandes, who repeated the assist for the KO goal offered to Marcus Rashford. Three local talents and two assists from a Fernandes in great shape: despite the 1-3 signed Toney (85th), Rangnick might have a smile at the final whistle. Tottenham’s last-second victory on Leicester City’s lawn, however, prevents the Mancunians from doing a good job in the standings.
