The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodriguez, He called on families and citizens in general to take maximum awareness and prevention once morest COVID-19, following this Tuesday the highest number of cases (2,090) and incidence (34%) were registered in the country since the first contagion in 2020, due to the circulation of the new Omicron variant.

“We call on the people to increase personal care to avoid the spread of this highly contagious variant. Maximum awareness and prevention”, alerted the high official of the Venezuelan State through her account on the social network, @delcyrodriguezv.

The Executive Vice President urged to continue demonstrating that Venezuela complies with discipline and conscience with the preventive and biosafety regulations in the current coronavirus pandemic.

“We can all take care of ourselves and alleviate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. We call to be vaccinated and to attend to the national reinforcement plan”, he insisted.

The Bolivarian Government put into practice the careful and expanded general relaxation, during the last two months of 2021, following the incidence and new infections began to drop, temporarily suspending the 7+7 method without giving up its eventual application.

Subsequently, the flexibility was continued at the beginning of the year 2022, but the presence of the omicron variant in the world, with greater contagion although less lethality, began to circulate throughout the country.

President Nicolás Maduro Moros has said that he will continue to protect the public health of Venezuelans, and called for citizen discipline and cooperation to try to maintain the flexibility decisions as long as conditions allow.
