The most affected regions have been those in the west of the national territory, specifically the Andean region and the states of Lara, Portuguesa and Zulia, where fluctuations have been reported, popularly known as dips. In addition, in these entities various communities were left without electricity.

Similarly, in Miranda, Caracas, Aragua, Carabobo, among others, users of social networks have reported that several downturns have been registered.

Before the intermittent failures, telephone and Internet services have been affected.

The president of the Committee of People Affected by Blackouts, Aixa López, denounced in June of last year that the latest blackouts in the country were due to failures in the San Gerónimo line.

In an interview for Radio UnionLópez explained that preventive maintenance is not being done on the San Gerónimo line. Palliative measures are only applied when there is a power outage.

A March report from the same committee indicates that since the mega blackout recorded in Venezuela in 2019, there have been 294,324 power failures throughout the country.
