Company That began accepting pre-orders for the new 7-seater Carens crossover and immediately set another record for itself. According to published information, for the first day the manufacturer received 7738 applications for this model.
The news is notable because official pricing for the new 2022 Kia Carens has yet to be revealed. It is expected that the basic version of the crossover in India will cost regarding 1.45 million rubles (in terms of the current exchange rate). About 1.9 million rubles will be requested for the top modification.
Kia offered the new Carens in five versions with 6- and 7-seat interiors. Also, 3 types of engines are available to customers. The initial version uses a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated unit with a maximum output of 115 hp. Optionally, a turbodiesel engine can be purchased with Carens. Its volume is also 1.5 liters, and the maximum output reaches 115 hp. In addition, Carens is also equipped with a 1.4-liter turbo engine that develops up to 140 hp. As standard, the crossover is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, for a surcharge – a 6-band “automatic” or a 7-speed “robot”.
The initial version of Carens provides for 6 airbags, a slope assistant, electronic stability control and traction control. For a surcharge, this list is expanded by parking cameras and radars. Comfort in the Korean novelty is provided by a Bose brand stereo system, 8 speakers, an electrically adjustable sunroof and seats in the first two rows, ventilated front seats, a 10.25-inch touchscreen tablet and other equipment.
Note that the manufacturer has not yet disclosed the start date for the supply of commercial samples of the new Kia Carens.
