According to an American study, users of electronic cigarettes are more likely to be affected by symptoms following a Covid-19 infection than non-smokers.
Covid and e-cigarettes don’t mix. According to a study published in the Journal of Primary Care & Community Health, in the event of Covid contamination, users of electronic cigarettes are more likely to develop symptoms than non-users.
This study, conducted by researchers at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, was carried out on a sample of 1,734 people. Among them, 289 indicated vaping. According to the data collected during this study, 16% of electronic cigarette users suffered from chest pain (compared to 10% of non-users), 25% had chills (compared to 19%), 49% headaches ( once morest 41%), 37% of smell and taste problems ( once morest 30%) and 16% of dizziness ( once morest 9%).
The inflammation caused by Covid and that induced by vaping can combine and thus promote the appearance of symptoms.
