Instagram Stories might change to look like TikTok – vertically scrolling stories are already reaching some users.
The “stories” de Instagram are regarding to change completely to become more like the posts of TikTok. Apparently, the social network of images and videos Meta is testing a new way of viewing stories, using a vertical scroll format.
In this way, Instagram would abandon the format of horizontal carousel that he has been using since the Stories was first introduced, to make way for a format much more like TikTok. A early last year, Instagram itself already confirmed be testing this function, although at the time no dates were given for its possible arrival. This is the first time that this feature has been seen working.
The arrival of the stories with vertical scroll might be the reason why Instagram changed the way of adding links to Stories, removing the “slide up” function and replacing it with a sticker. For now, it is not clear if this feature will eventually be deployed globally among all the users of the social network, but it is clear that Instagram plans to introduce big changes in its Stories.
