We share a map of the most popular real estate zip codes in South Florida

With the real estate market on the rise in South Florida, some zip codes are getting more attention than others, according to a new survey.

Of the 185 zip codes in South Florida, those in the northern part of Palm Beach County and the western part of Broward County are in the top 10 most popular places for home buyers, according to a ranking of Opendoor, a digital platform for the sale of residential real estate.

OpenDoor evaluated the most popular zip codes in South Florida by looking at the number of homes that were hired in less than three months from the date of listing in 2021.

“Areas in western Palm Beach County are benefiting from a push north, and areas like Palm Beach Gardens are growing faster, as the metropolitan area moves further and further north,” said Jay Cherry. , General Manager of Opendoor in Miami.

The site attributed this emerging trend to high demand for homes facing a lack of available space to build in South Florida.

Here are the most popular zip codes in South Florida by classification:

33131 – Miami (Brickell y Downtown)
33414 – Wellington
33437 – Boynton Beach
33027 – Hollywood
33418 – Palm Beach Gardens
33321 – Tamarac
33446 – Oeste de Delray Beach
33467 – Green Acres
33160 – North Miami Beach
33411 – Royal Palm Beach

Many of the zip codes on the list have a few things in common: more on-hand inventory and slightly more affordable prices, said Patty Da Silva, broker at Green Realty Properties in Cooper City.

And, in the northern areas of the region, where there tends to be more space, many of the new-build homes are larger in size, something that many potential buyers are looking for.

“Palm Beach County zip codes have become more popular,” said Da Silva. Now we move people north. That did not happen before. Prices became unaffordable in Dade and Broward, so they began to move north, “he added.

Areas like Miami will always remain popular as they are more populated and Miami has always been known, he said.

Cherry noted that the migration of tech workers to Miami saw a 15% increase over the previous year, according to Quartz.

The South Florida real estate market has continued to boom for the past two years, due to a combination of out-of-state buyers, low mortgage rates, limited inventory, and high demand.

The most popular neighborhood in the entire country was Clarksville, Tennessee, near Nashville, according to the survey.

Overall, the market shows no signs of slowing down, forcing many buyers to broaden their search criteria.

“There is not enough inventory, so these areas that have it are having more transactions,” said Da Silva.
