The coronavirus problem in the United States is, once once more, at alarm levels.

The record of infections in the country of North America, and now a never before seen mark in hospitalizations has been reported.

The US reaches a record with 1.3 million infections

Although it is true that the authorities maintain that the Omicron variant does not cause so many deaths, even less with the presence of vaccines, the truth is that it is easier to spread and even attacks those who are already immunized.

In the United States, the numbers keep increasing. According to Johns Hopkins University, which has monitored the pandemic since its inception, the country leads the figures with 62.54 million infections and more than 843 thousand deaths.

Now, another figure has been released that alerts the government headed by Joe Biden. And it is that the country of the stars and stripes broke a new record of hospitalizations due to coronavirus on January 11, with more than 145 thousand people who entered health centers, according to data provided by the Department of Health and Services Humans (HSS).

In total, there are records of 145,000 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19 in the nation, of which 4,462 are minors.

These numbers exceed the 142,273 coronavirus patients who were admitted on January 14, 2021, the highest figure that had been recorded in one day so far, since the start of the pandemic.

The mark of hospitalizations in the country coincides with the expansion of the Omicron strain, which is the dominant one in the United States.

Meanwhile, the country’s hospitals face staff shortages as many front-line workers have been infected.

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam declared a partial state of emergency following ICU admissions doubled since December 1 of last year.

For its part, in Texas, regarding 2,700 health professionals will be hired and trained to reinforce the hospitals, which will be added to the 1,300 backup workers that have been sent to the centers in that state.
