The Blasters’ dream of becoming number one is at stake
Fans are worried that the Kerala Blasters’ dream of returning to the top of the ISL points table will be overshadowed. Both the teams are worried that the Kerala-Odisha match may be skipped due to fears of Kovid.
Concerns over the match have been raised since Kovid was reported in the Odisha camp. Kovid is a player on the team who is positive. With this, all the players are under the threat of Kovid.
It remains to be seen whether the match will take place following today’s corona test and the rapid test before the players enter the stadium for the match.
The new rules of the ISL stipulate that the game must take place if there are at least 15 players to play. If not so many players are with Odisha, the game will be postponed or abandoned.
The Blazers currently have 17 points from 10 matches with four wins and five draws. Kerala Blasters are currently second in the points table.
Jamshedpur FC topped the table with 19 points from 11 matches, including five wins, four draws and two defeats. They topped the list by defeating East Bengal.
